Collection: Nevada

The Nevada collection currently only includes the Las Vegas Area (ESC-NV-LVA).  However, this particular ESC is very important for several reasons.  First of all, it is a major metropolitan area with a large population and very few natural resources to keep it's population alive for very long without outside support.  It's been said that Vegas would only have enough food to support it's population for about 2-3 days if trucking were to stop.  If it was an incident isolated to Vegas it would likely be under control quickly but if it was a major crisis originating in California, Vegas could be quickly overwhelmed with evacuees and emergency resources could be stretched thin.   Situated in the middle of inhospitable desert, it could easily succumb to disaster along with Southern California.  The Las Vegas Area's reliance on modern technology like running water, trucking, refrigeration, and air conditioning coupled with it's proximity to SoCal make the ESC-NV-LVA a very important piece of gear to have for Nevadans and Southern Californians alike.
